Course Description

Introduction This course is designed for staff who are supporting people with learning disabilities. Aims To examine definitions, incidence, signs and symptoms of abuse. Objectives To examine issues in relation to abuse in the community settings To recognize the signs of abuse To examine the outcomes of lifting the lid (it is not a personal choice) To explore the practical support that can be given to people with a learning disability working through abuse To identify the staff role within the support system To identify the expectations of how staff will deal with the issue via the organizations policy and guidance Course Duration Two to three days Certification Certificate of Attendance.
