Course Description

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Level 2 Introductory theory drawn from psychology, sociology, group dynamics, non-verbal communication and organisational theory. You will also study your own skills. At the end of the course you should be able to understand and apply the skills needed for effective communication on a 1-1 basis and in groups. How Will I Learn ? The course uses a variety of teaching and learning methods, including individual and group work, role play, self and peer assessment. You will be expected to bring your own experience to the course. How Will I Be Assessed ? Assessment is by assignment and portfolio. There are no examinations for this course. Progression and Employment You could move on to other social science courses. Interpersonal Skills are vital for any work with people so may be of particular interest to learners wanting to move into social work, community work, nursing, teaching or personnel. What Do I Need To Join This Course ? No qualifications, simply a keen interest in how people relate to each other.
