The ability to apply a broad range of commercial law issues to multi-jurisdictional settings Programme details This programme is designed to immerse you in more detailed aspects of commercial and regulatory law, as well as developing legal research skills. The aim of this programme is to examine some key areas of law (both hard and soft) that particularly impinge upon international business. The programme is taught over three semesters, starting in September and ending a year later. In the first two semesters, students take four 30 credit taught modules and in the third semester a 60 credit dissertation. Module titles Semesters 1 and 2 Choose four taught modules from: ? International Trade Law ? Intellectual Property Law ? EU and US Competition Law ? EU and US Securities Regulation ? International Corporate Governance ? World Trade Organisation Semester 3 ? Dissertation Career potential Graduates of the programme will see their career prospects enhanced and gain considerable competitive advantage when applying to those firms that require legal and business knowledge, e.g. regulators, in-house compliance departments, corporate finance departments and accountancy firms. It is also expected that some aspiring solicitors will enrol with a view to securing traineeships at corporate law firms. Students will have an opportunity to specialise in business and regulatory law earlier in their career and add greater value to their workplace in due course.
