Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) Level 3: Diploma in Vehicle Service and Repair This course builds on the knowledge and experience gained at Levels 1 and 2, and is held over a minimum of three days per week. Topics covered Contribute to good workplace housekeeping. Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety. Maintain positive working relationships Diagnose and rectify light vehicle engine and component faults. Diagnose and rectify light vehicle chassis system faults. Inspect vehicles. Preferred entry requirements Successful completion of Level 2 or relevant industrial experience. Additional skills and qualifications When your learning agreement is discussed with your tutor early in the first term, you will be advised of extra skills and qualifications which are built into the course programme known as Secondary Learning Goals. These secondary learning goals are selected on the basis of their importance to the industry/career in which you are interested. They will contribute to your employability and will enhance your CV.
