Human Physiology and Health GCSE (AQA) WHAT'S ON THE COURSE? The syllabus content is classified into nine themes. 1) The dependence of humans on other organisms 2) The importance of hygiene and healthy living 3) The influence of humans on the environment 4) Structure and functions of cells 5) Life process e.g nutrition, circulation etc 6) Sexual reproduction 7) Healthy development of a child during and after pregnancy 8) Genetics - chromosomes and cell division 9) Variations in our genes There is one written exam paper which may be taken at Foundation level and at Higher level. There is a practical assessment worth 25% of the marks. WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE AND FEES? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? 30 Weeks. Tuesday 7.00pm-9.30pm. WHEN DOES IT START? Autumn 2010. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The tuition fee for this course is 263.00 (home students only). There is an assessment fee of 25.00.
