Course Description

GCSE Art & Design GCSE Art & Design is a two year modular course which aims to nurture and develop creativity and encourage personal expression. What you will study The course is made up as follows: Two Units of Coursework (30% each) - 60% External examination - 40% The Coursework The coursework has to be produced in TWO dimensions and THREE dimensions. One unit must have a FINE ART outcome and the other unit must have a DESIGN outcome. The coursework areas are: Painting and Drawing Printmaking Computer Aided Design Lens based media Textiles and Fashion Ceramics Rigid Materials Semi rigid materials Soft materials Mixed media Digital Media What you can do You will have the opportunity to explore the following areas for your coursework and exam.
