Course Description

MEDIA (TELEVISION & FILM) - BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA Media & e-Media : Full time This course is ideal if you want to take the vocational/practical route in your post-GCSE qualification, and want to work in the fast moving and demanding work of the media, particularly television and/or film. Although the primary focus is the moving image, a number of other media skills are included, particularly radio. Content: Projects incorporate all elements of preproduction, production and postproduction demanded of TV and filmmaking practices. You are required to respond to briefs relating to the study of advertising, music video production, TV drama, documentary filmmaking, and experimental film/video installation. Increasingly, the students from this course are working to externally set live briefs real products for real audiences. Progression from this course is usually to Universities specialising in practical film and television, and an increasing number of students are choosing to remain with us to do one of our Foundation Degrees, leading to a BA. Duration: 2 year(s) Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language or Maths or an equivalent qualification Assessment: Continuous Additional Information: Progression: Foundation Degree and degree courses in related subjects
