Course Description

Link course 1 year: 1 or 2 days a week. Course duration: Level: NA FullPart Time : Full-time What will I need to follow the course? Individuals with learning difficulties. You might be a young person in your last year at school requiring additional support to progress from school to further education. You might be an adult attending day services or living at home and seeking to develop your skills. The course will enable you to attend the College part-time or via a link course. We can also arrange for you to have a foretaste of the other courses provided by the College. Where will I study: G What will I study? We will help you to develop your current skills and learn new ones. You can choose to study some of these units: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Horticulture. Communication skills. Conservation. Emergency First Aid Certificate. Agriculture. Domestic skills. Special skills, e.g. dry stone walling, preparation for work. Animal care. Will I have to sit any examinations? What will I have at the end of the course? You may have gained the following qualifications by the end of the course. Wordpower Basic Communication CGLI 3793. Vocational Foundation Certificate NPTC. Open College Certificate NWOCN. What next? After completing the course, students can progress to a full-time course or study for additional nationally recognised certificates.
