Course Description

What you will study Health and Safety Workplace Housekeeping Maintain Positive Working Relationships Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components Remove and Replace Auxiliary Electrical Units and Components Remove and Replace Motorcycle Body Panels You will also be expected to attend tutorials and work towards Functional Skills qualifications. Your Course Structure Classroom: 50%; Practical: 50% How you will learn By completing practical tasks in the motorcycle workshops and underpinning knowledge lessons in the classroom. How you will be assessed By completion of practically assessed tasks, compiling a portfolio of evidence and formal end-of-unit examinations. Entry Requirements Level 1 or equivalent motorcycle qualification or previous experience of working with motorcycles. You will need Level 1 literacy and numeracy qualifications. If you do not possess these, we can assess you. A high level of commitment and a genuine interest in the subject to be demonstrated at a selection test and interview. Attendance: This is a one year, full-time course. You will be expected to attend College for at least two full days per week. Course Costs: (subject to change) Tuition and certification are free if you are aged 16-18 years old. Related additional costs may include materials, equipment, visits, residentials etc which are payable by all students. Any student entered/registered with an Awarding Body who has been given free entry and then withdraws or is withdrawn by a tutor will incur the certification fee associated with the course. Any re-sit examination will incur a cost. Different fees apply to international students.
