It will also enable you to access opportunities for senior posts andor develop your Higher Education studies further. Profile The Foundation Degree, validated by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), integrates academic and work based learning through close collaboration between employers, learners and the College. The programme will equip practitioners with the skills and knowledge relevant to their employment and the abliity to develop reflective practice in the setting. The programme includes the following modules. 5 modules per level (year): 2 modules per semester (2 semester per year) and 1 module that runs through both semesters. All modules 24 credits. Opportunities Successful completion of this award will enable students to access Liverpool John Moores University Honours Degree Programme and offer their FdA as the first two years of a 3 year Honour Degree in Working with Children and Adolescents. Entry Requirement Level 3 related qualification (including professional development awards) applicants are required to be in a voluntary or employed capacity in a work setting with children and young people within the age range 0-16 years, with a minimum of two years experience. There will be an interview, on line initial assessment and written assessment task along with a face to face interview with a member of Childhood Studies foundation degree team. Initial and diagnostic assessments will be undertaken as part of the application and interview process to establish an applicant's suitability for the programme. Employers will designate a Mentor to support reflective practice. Although the attendance is part-time this is deemed to be a full-time course.
