Health, Social & Child Care Foundation Degree in Care ManagementNVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Adults) - 2 days Course Description This course is aimed at people who have a commitment to gain an understanding of health and social care activities and intend to pursue a career within these sectors or are already working within them. Modules Year 1 Equality, Diversity and Rights Legislation and Social Policy Applied Social Studies Applied Psychological Studies Effective Resource Management Making Decisions Quality and Risk Assessment Employment Certificate Year 2 Research and Independent Studies Managing Service Response Managing Financial Resources Enabling Teams and Developing Others Employment Certificate Learners are expected to gain voluntary or paid employment in care working a minimum of 600 hours over two years in order to fulfil the course requirements. Career Prospects These courses lead to a qualification which learners can use to enhance their career in the health and social care sector. It also provides a stepping stone towards further qualifications that may include topping-up to a BSc in Care Studies or a degree in Social Work. Employment might be found, for example, in management of residential homes, project management or as development officers the opportunities are endless.
