FCA Wood Occupations Length of Course: 1 year Campus: Pencoed Course Description: The course is designed to give school leavers an opportunity to gain an entry level carpentry and joinery qualification Modules: Handle and store resources Contribute to working relationships Contribute to providing working platforms Preparation and use of portable power tools Maintenance and use of woodworking hand tools Use of Basic wood jointing techniques Entry requirements: Enthusiasm is a must. This course will suit young people with an interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry. All candidates will have an informal interview with a course tutor followed by a skills test. Progression/Career Opportunities: On successful completion of the course, you will have the opportunity to progress on to the Intermediate Construction Award.
