Electrical Installation - City & Guilds 2330 Technical Certificate (Level 2) Number of Weeks 32 Hours per Week 16 Who is the programme for? This programme is designed for school leavers or mature students who wish to enter into the Electrical Industry and have a keen interest in the science and application of electricity. How long does it take to complete? 1 year. What qualifications do I need? What is the programme structure? The programme covers several units which cover all aspects of Electrical work. The programme is split into 60% class based and 40% practical work in the workshops at the College. Key Skills If you are aged 16-18 and following this course as a full time student your programme will include tutorials, enrichment activities and the development of key skills. Key skills are recognised and valued by employers and universities and are an important part of your course as they will help to improve your performance and confidence at college and in the future. Are there any special facilities for the programme? The College has specially equipped Electrical Laboratories and workshops for students to work in. How is the programme assessed? The programme is assessed in the following way: 4 multiple choice on-line examinations and 2 assignments, portfolios of written and practical assessments from workshop activities. Will there be any extra costs involved? Students will need to provide steel toecap footwear and overalls. What if I need support? The College provides a range of learning support for students who like extra help with their studies. City & Guilds 2330, level 2. Examining/Validating Body City & Guilds. What can I do next? Successful students can progress onto the City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 and/or employment.
