Electrical Electronic Engineering, BTEC National Diploma - Level 3 (EDEXCEL) Qualification Obtained: BTEC National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering About this Course: Studying a wide range of electrical and electronic subjects you will have the chance to develop your engineering skills to a high standard. The course features the following subjects: Electrical and Electronic Principles; Mathematics; Integrated Project; Analogue and Digital Electronics; Electrical Technology; Electronic Circuit Manufacture. Additional NVQ Electronics qualifications are also offered as part of this programme. Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and Science or success at First Diploma level or equivalent. Assessment Methods: This involves continuous individual subject assessment. There are no external examinations. Progression: You have the choice of pursuing an Engineering Apprenticeship through the College or studying on one of our Higher National Diploma qualifications; choose from Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Course Options: Core units: Business systems Communications Design and build project Mathematics Electrical and electronic principles Possible specialist units: Heath and safety Further electrical and electronic principles Further mathematics Analogue electronics Digital electronics Electrical technology Electronic fault finding 3 phase systems Industrial robotics Microcontroller applications Electronic devices and circuits You may also take the Performing Engineering Operations NVQ as part of this programme. Funding Information Most students do not have to pay full tuition fees and many students have their course fees waived completely depending on their age and circumstances. Repayable and non-repayable grants and loans are also available for higher education students. When a course code contains 'EC' this indicates that it is an economic course which in most cases does not attract course fee waivers. Where courses are run over more than one year, the tuition fee shown is for one year only. Fees for subsequent years are subject to review.
