Full Time City and Guilds Care Entry Level 3 Duration - I year How and what will I study? The course is delivered on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday at the Beeston Campus. It covers various elements including developing your own learning, an introduction to the care sector, preparing for work in the care sector, supporting a healthy lifestyle for yourself and others, an introduction the health and safety in the care setting. As part of the course learners will undertake a work placement and will cover an additional module about this vocational area. This will be a choice of one of the following: Caring for children under 8 years old Care of older people Caring for people with physical or learning disabilities Induction At the beginning of the September term, the Induction programme is held. This could include subject tasters, Library induction and the issuing of relevant paperwork. It will also provide the opportunity for individual time tabling. How long does the course last? I Year Will I have to take an exam? There are no exams for this course. Video and audio evidence is the primary source of assessment. What qualification will I gain? City and Guilds Care Progression on completion & Career Opportunities Practical Work Skills or BTEC in health and social care.. How do I apply? This course requires an interview Once you have completed your application form, return it to us using the freepost address provided on the form and we will contact you to arrange an interview. At your interview you will meet course tutors, complete an predictive assessment and be advised how you should enrol. What are the fees? If you are aged 16-18, this course is free Between the age of 19 and 24 the course is free providing that you can provide details copies of benefits that you are in receipt of. If you are over 25 you must pay the Awarding Body City registration and certification fees. Tuition fees are wavered providing that you can provide details copies of benefits that you are in receipt of. Please contact us for more details. If you are aged between 16 and 19, you can apply for EMA and receive up to ?30 a week.
