BScBSc (Hons) in Care Studies - 1 day Course Description This course is aimed at people who wish to progress from a HNDFD to a full degree. Learners will have the option of taking an ordinary or honours programme. Modules Core Professional Studies 2 Optional Modules Applying Communication and Counselling Skills in Care Supervision in Social Care The Welsh Context of Care Policy Working with Volunteers Working with Families and Informal Carers Time Limited Interventions in Social Care Enabling Teams and Developing Others Working with Young People International Studies in Care Ethical Dilemmas in Care Honours (above plus) Dissertation Career Prospects Successful completion of the BScBSc (Hons) in Care Studies will allow learners to enhance their current position, progress up the career ladder or undertake further postgraduate qualifications: ManagementAdministrationAdvisory Roles Teaching Research Study Mode Full-time Campus Afan Course Length 1 year (the course is held on only one day per week) Course Time Please Call to Discuss Partnership University of Glamorgan Assesment Learners are assessed mainly through written assignments, reports and portfolios. Additional Notes This is the THIRD year of a degree programme. Learners will need to have gained 240 credits at HE Levels 4 and 5. This is equivalent to having successfully completed a relevant HND or Foundation Degree.
