Course Description

Course Overview This is a quality programme of study in Construction Engineering Management and related areas with a professional and vocational focus. You will develop the skills, knowledge, understanding and confidence for employment in this field. Course Structure The course focuses on three major themes: the nature and role of the construction industry, the application of management processes to construction and the technology of buildings Learning Methods The course is made up of Mandatory and Optional modules. Learning methods include: lectures, case studies, seminars, guest speakers and interactive approaches such as Moodle. Assessment A variety of assessment methods are used including: coursework, essays, reports, project works and examinations. Entry Requirements You should have successfully completed a Foundation Degree or HND in Construction. What`s Next? You can expect to go on to a career as a Higher Technician in a variety of construction-related professions including: architectural practice, construction and building management, project management, building surveying or quantity surveying. Alternatively, you may wish to continue your studies to Master`s level. More Information Duration: Three years full-time (leading to an Award of Leeds Metropolitan University)
