Prepares students who do not meet the standard A-level requirements to enter the Electronics Engineering Degree programme at City University. You spend three days at week at college, one day a week at university. When you successfully complete the Foundation year and meet the university's equirements, you receive an offer of a guaranteed place on the BEng Honours Degree course in Engineering or Computer Engineering at City University. The Foundation (year 0) programme is a level 3 course (equivalent to an Access course) but classified as higher education, so you can apply to your local education authority for assistance with fees and a student loan. Who is this course for? For adults What do I need to get on the course? One of the following: ? 2 A-levels (2 AS levels are equivalent to 1 A-level), including Mathematics at grade D and Physics at grade E ? BTEC National Diploma /Certificate with merit in Mathematics / Engineering Science ? Advanced GNVQ with merit in engineering or science ? A recognised Access to Higher Education Certificate in a related field. In addition: ? 4 GCSEs at grade C including English Language and Mathematics with Science desirable, or equivalent.You need to have good skillsat level 2 in Maths and English, an interest in Computing and a desire to progress to City University`s degree programme.
