Care, Health and Early Learning - Health and Social Care - BTEC Foundation Diploma in Society, Health and Development (Level 1)(20102011) Study Method: You will complete an assignment for each unit. These will be internally or externally assessed. In addition, you will sit three Functional Skills examinations. Duration : One-year course. Full-time programme. Who the Course is For: Students who wish to pursue a career or study path in the Health or Care Sector. This may include nursingchildcarejusticeadult carespecial needssocial work. Assessment: Students will complete an assignment for each unit. These will be internally or externally assessed. In addition, you will sit Functional Skills examinations. Students are allocated a Personal Coach who will provide support and guidance at regular intervals during the course. Course Leads To: The Foundation Diploma is equivalent to 5 GCSEs and will enable students to pursue higher levels of study. Successful students can progress onto the Level 2 Higher Diploma in Health, Society and Development. Entry Requirements: No formal entry requirements but students are required to have a good command of written English. Content: The Foundation Diploma on Sociaty, Health and Development comprioses of FIVE main areas of study which must all be acheived. It must be recognised that failure to achieve the Functional Skills will result in a partial acheivement for the Diploma. PRINCIPLE LEARNING which includes: Exploring the Sectors Exploring Principles and Values Working Together Are we Communicating? Is it safe?
