FOUNDATION DEGREE: COMMUNITY HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE Level: 5 Location: Hall Green Campus Times: Day FTPT Duration: 2 3 years In Partnership with Wolverhampton University What will I study? You will learn through a combination of traditional techniques such as formal teaching, essay writing, reports and the examination of real life case studies. You will be introduced to the key elements of Health & Social Care throughout this course. You can study this course full or part-time, based on whatever is most convenient for you it will take you 2 years to complete the programme as a full-time option or up to 3 years for part-time study. Level 1: Studying skills in Health & Social Care Development and scope of Public Health Environmental effects on human development Studying health in the community The policy context: local, regional and national influences Health promotion in Health & Social Care settings Level 2: Contemporary issues in Health & Social Care Emotional health and the community Leadership and management in Health & Social Care Care planning Care values Critical incident analysis Work-based project What can I do after this course? On successful completion of this course you could progress onto the BSc (Hons) Health Studies or BSc (Hons) Social Care Degree programme, completing with just over a year of extra study.
