First Aid for Child Carers Care & Early Years Qualification Attendance 9.30am - 4.30pm over 2 Saturdays. Duration 12 hours Description of the Course This course will be run by a professional first aid training organisation, staffed by paramedics, technicians, nurses and advanced level first aiders, all of whom have appropriate experience and certification to teach the subject. The course covers the basic issues surrounding first aid for child carers and is designed for those who are thinking of working with children, or who are working with children and have no previous first aid experience. The medical terms, definitions and practical demonstrations are explained to allow the student to gain a wider knowledge and understanding of the practices surrounding general issues connected with first aid for child carers. Course content Units include: ? Accidents ? Management of the Unconscious Casualty ? The First Aid Kit ? Causes of Unconsciousness ? Fractures ? Minor Illness Assessment Who is the course for?
