FASD and Responding to Substance Misuse NCFE Level 3 This course of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and Responding to Substance Misuse is designed to introduce the student to a variety of areas related to the use and misuse of a wide range of drugs, including both legal and illegal substances. Syllabus Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Module 1: The History of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Module 2: Taking Responsibility for the Unborn Child Module 3: Prenatal Alcohol Exposure and Screening Module 4: Children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Module 5: Behavioural Phenotypes of FASD Module 6: Growing up with FASD Responding to Substance Misuse Module 1: Symptoms, Effects and Paraphernalia of Drug Use Module 2: The Law Responses to Drug Use, including Harm Reduction and Interventions Module 3: Drugs History and Current Drug Use Module 4: Drug Facts Module 5: Volatile Substance Abuse Module 6: Young People?s Use of Alcohol and Drugs Module 7: Drug Use And Blood-Borne Viruses Qualification At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement together with NCC Certification. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to Level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that this learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE. NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
