Environmental Technologies The demand for training in Environmental Technologies has greatly increased following government strategies to meet a 15% renewable energy target by 2020. We have developed a range of courses to help meet this demand and our workshops hold the latest innovative technologies and equipment. Course Dates Length Venue Cost Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps (Including F-Gas Certification City & Guilds 2079) This course will give candidates detailed explanations and practical examples of selecting, installing and commissioning systems and F-Gas regulations. Candidates must hold current Unvented and Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating qualifications. Flexible enrolment dates available throughout the year. Three days Barnstaple Campus or Tiverton Campus ?450 F-Gas Training and Assessment The scheme is designed for operatives who install, service and repair refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. The course has been introduced to meet the legal requirement of EC Regulation 842/2006 commonly known as the F-Gas Regulation Flexible enrolment dates available throughout the year. One to three days Tiverton Campus ?230 to ?520 Installing and Testing Domestic Photovoltaic Systems (City & Guilds 2372) This course enables candidates to be recognised as competent in this new field and to play a vital role in the use of renewable energy. It covers the range of competences in fitting, installing and testing the system components. Flexible enrolment dates available please enquire. Four days Barnstaple Campus ?650 Solar Thermal Hot Water Training and Assessment Programme This programme has been developed for individuals who wish to demonstrate competence to work on the installation and commissioning of solar thermal systems. Successful candidates will be able to join a competent person's scheme such as NICEIC. 10 to 12 February 2010; 19 to 21 May 2010 (minimum group of four). Three days Barnstaple Campus ?390 plus certification fee of ?62 Underfloor Heating Systems This course is designed for experienced heating and plumbing installers and will cover design, installation, commissioning, trouble shooting, regulations and legislation.
