Construction and the Built Environment - Electrical Electrical Installation Level 3 (C&G-2330)(2010/2011) Study Method: A combination of theory and practical units, including: Fault Finding and Testing & Commissioning. Duration : One Year made up from one day day-release OR two evenings a week for 36 weeks. Who the Course is For: This is the next stage for successfull candiates from Electrical Installation C&G-2330 Lv2, who wish to extend their knowledge and understanding. This allows students to complete the Technical side of Electrians qualifications, and support with underpinning knowledge their Vocational certification via NVQ Level3. As of Sept 2009, fees may be charged at full cost (approx 1300 TBC), unless part of an NVQ3 appenticeship. Assessment: One On-Line Test (Safety, Science and Regulations), together with 2 practical tasks and reports/assignments. Course Leads To: C&G 2381(16th Ed), 2391(Inspection & Testing) and 2356(NVQ3 - practical competency) Entry Requirements: Electrical Installation C&G-2330 Lv2 (or the old C&G-2360 Part1) Content: Theorectical content includes: electromagnetism, motors & alternators, AC theory, luminaires & lamps, cable sizing & testing, and BS7671.All our courses are designed to cover the full range of topics and tasks as laid down by the awarding body in response to industry requirements. All practical activities are carried out within our state of the art workshops with theory work being a mix of classroom and assignment activities. The topics include: Science of electrical engineering and provides an in depth knowledge of the wiring regulations (BS7671:June 2001). The science topics cover electromagnetism and electric motors, alternators and other devices. Illumination and types of lighting, AC theory, Cable sizing and Testing. Regulations are thoroughly investigated and circuit parameters are produced from IEE tables.
