Course Description

This innovative programme allows you to explore key aspects of a crucial period in the history of the English speaking world from a number of different disciplinary perspectives. You will undertake genuinely cross disciplinary work with subject specialists in the fields of literature, art history and architectural history. Modules Course content: To aid the development of a sophisticated knowledge of the literature art and architecture in the English-speaking world between 1660 and 1820 to further appreciation of the multi-faceted concept of identity (national ethnic gendered political or social) for the period from 1660 to 1820 to work with the student on the critical skills they will require for the identification analysis and evaluation of a range of historical evidence and cultural documents (written visual and built) necessary to develop knowledge and understanding of the period opportunity to work hands on amongst some of the South West region?s rich resources from the period.
