Eating Disorders Parts 1 & 2 are designed to open a wider understanding of the true nature of eating disorders.Understanding brings a clearer perception of what is needed by both the unfortunate sufferer and by the forgotten victims, the family and loved ones, who are also trying to cope with the effects of the disorder.Part 1 examines the background to eating disorders, including riskpredisposition, physical effects and behaviour. It looks at some research and case studies, and examines Anorexia Nervosa in more detail. The anatomy and physiology of the main systems of the body is included. Course Subjects 9 Lessons Respiration, Genitourinary, & Endocrine Systems Research, History & Development Findings, Statistics & Mortality Anxiety & Body Image Nervous System & Skeletal System Male & Female Issues Digestive System Anorexia Nervosa: Signs & Symptoms Physical Effects Muscular System & Circulatory System Students obtaining 70% or more marks in the final examination will be awarded the BSY Professional Certificate of Merit in Eating Disorders
