Ear Candling or Thermal Auricular Therapy has been used in Britain for over 15 years in the treatment of common ear, nose and throat conditions. Hopi ear candling, as it is also known, originates from the Hopi Indians of North America. However, it has much more practical applications in today?s world, from balance problems, excessive wax, ringing in ear, migraines, headaches, sinusitis and ear, nose and throat infections. This workshop covers everything you need to know in order for you to safely and professionally conduct an ear candling session. This workshop will cover the following: The history of ear candling How ear candles work Who can be treated Ear conditions Contra-indications Benefits of ear candling Equipment needed Treatment procedure Anatomy of the ear and face Treatment routine Face & ear massage Safety instructions Hygiene Examination of candle contents Insurance and suppliers We use the Dr. Mom Slimline LED Otoscop to assess the health and condition of each ear to ensure it is safe to proceed with Thermal Auricular Therapy Treatment. We use only the best quality and safest ear candles on the market including Otosan, Biosun and Aurecon, all of which have filters fitted to prevent was and candle residue falling into the ear. CPPD = 5 points 9.30am ? 5.30pm (including refreshment breaks and lunch) Places are limited to a maximum of 4 so early booking is advisable.
