DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RECORDING (1 DAY COURSE) ABOUT THE COURSE Recording is an essential part of the service all childcare professionals should provide to children and families. All who work with children should be clear about the principles and purpose of record keeping. This one day course provides participants with the principles of good practice and is delivered in line with policies and legislation. It is important to appreciate that recording maintains a history for the child or young person, and should highlight any issues or developmental needs, and provides continuity when key workers change. Points covered in this course will include developing skills of recording, understanding how to analyse patterns of behaviour, as well as being able to observe, conceptualise and make action plans. This course is appropriate for all childcare professionals in any childcare setting and will complement CAF (Common Assessment Framework) training.
