Overview To provide candidates with a deeper knowledge and understanding of delegation theory and practice, enabling them to get the best out of people, and make more time in their diary in order to focus on those things that matter most. Prerequisites Candidates who have identified a problem with effective delegation principles and wish to gain insight into methods for increasing their efficiency. Course Content Topics Covered Have a full understanding of what delegation is and how to do it effectively Understand the importance of planning and preparation in the delegation process Be able to appropriately identify and prepare the right people to take on additional responsibility Recognise that investing time in delegation properly now will save time in the future Be able to use delegation as a motivational tool Be able to use 8 step process for delegating effectively Recognising the importance of trust in the process of delegating effectively and recognise the importance of taking risks Be able to encourage your people to take as much ownership and responsibility for the task as possible Be able to use effective questioning to assist the individual in overcoming problems or issues that might arise Have a clear and specific action plan to assist in putting the learning from this course into action
