Communicate with Clarity Using effective communication skills for business success Have you ever heard yourself saying why don't they understand me?? Do you ever feel as if you are not quite on the same wavelength as another person? Perhaps you want to get an important point across as clearly as possible without damaging your relationship with the other person. Would you like to build rapport using listening skills and appropriate language? This workshop introduces you to the idea that clear assertive communication can bring business benefits in all your professional relationships. During this workshop you will have the opportunity to consider what is really meant by the term assertive communication and to apply some simple techniques to help you communicate more clearly. Trainer: Jackie Clifford Jackie Clifford has worked in organisations in the public, private and third sector. She is a trainer, coach and facilitator with almost 20 years experience helping people learn. Her style encourages workshop participants to focus on their personal learning objectives whilst taking part in exercises and activities to help them consider the issues from a range of perspectives. At the end of all her workshops, participants go away with a practical action plan to put their learning into practice ?back at base camp'. Course Objectives: By the end of this workshop you will be able to: Describe the features of clear, effective communication. Identify the key characteristics of assertive, passive and aggressive communication. Explain the I'm OK, You're OK model in the context of effective communication. Identify how clear communication can support the achievement of business goals. Implement techniques for listening effectively and building rapport to support effective communication. Use appropriate language to help all parties understand each other. Identify at least 3 actions that you will take to help you communicate more effectively .
