Chairing Meetings Being able to chair a meeting effectively is an increasingly important skill for local government officers. Well chaired meetings produce better quality discussions and decisions. This interactive course focuses on practical techniques to help the participants to run productive meetings. It introduces useful theories and practice to help chairs to get the most from the available meeting time. Some officers may chair small meetings with colleagues and elected members. Others may be asked to chair large meetings such as public consultations.
