Certificate in Infection Control: Level 2 Aim This course is follow-on from Understanding Infection control Level 1 and is designed to enhance learners' knowledge of infection control and to assist them to promote good practice in raising standards of cleanliness. On completion of the award learners should have an understanding of the meaning and importance of infection control, key areas and methods for practising infection control, infection and infectious diseases and preventing the spread of infection. The course is intended for people who currently work in or wish to work in a range of occupations where high standards of cleanliness and good practice in general hygiene are important. The award is also suitable for adult learners seeking re-entry to the employment market with insufficient qualifications andor experience. Length of Study: Flexible up to a maximum of 36 weeks tutor support. Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements Contents: Introducing Infection Control.
