Course Description

Carpentry and Joinery - College First Course Description All College First courses include Vocational studies, English, Maths and IT. You may be involved in additional activities, ie visits and trips. You will join an induction to help you settle and it may be possible to take more than one vocational option. Entry Requirements GCSEs: few, one of which must be English, at grade F or below or Pass in relevant E2 qualification and Pass at E2 literacy. Modules Studied: Carrying out Carpentry and Joinery Operations Contribute to Health and Safety in the Work place Handling and Storing Materials/Components Personal Work Skills Awarding Body: OCNW Level: Entry Duration: 1 year Attendance Modes: Day Assessment: A range of methods will be used, including assignments, practical assessment and, for some courses, external tests and portfolio work.
