Course Description

This course is aimed at people who wish to learn the skills necessary not only to meet, but surpass the standards set by the Driving Standards Agency, Department of Transport for B+E tests. From 1 January 1997, new drivers may drive a vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW) with a 750kgs trailer. Towing anything over this limit requires a DSA test for B+E category licence. Towing under provisional licence is not acceptable . Content Reversing & Controlled stop techniques Highway Code Coupling / uncoupling Road procedures Vehicle control Daily vehicle checks Defensive driving Alertness to & anticipation of other road users Vehicles DSA test standard car and trailer, supplied by Paul Brown Transport Services - Training Division. . Duration 2 days on a 1:1 ratio. Prerequisite Must be a holder of a valid provisional B+E licence issued by the DVLA and passed theory test as part of car test.
