Awarding Body OCR & WJEC Course Content This course aims to provide training in a range of administration and business qualifications which meets the needs of employers in both the public and private sectors. Course Features Provides a foundation for a range of administrative roles Provides opportunities for students to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for working in an administrative and business environment The option of being taught and assessed through the medium of Welsh is available Learners on the course are also enrolled on the Welsh Baccalaureate Foundation Students achieve a range of nationally and internationally recognised qualifications Career Prospects and Progression Students have found employment in banks, the media, legal practices, accountancy firms, health and local authorities and many other private and public organisations. Modules Welsh Baccalaureate (Foundation), NVQ Business and Administration Level 1, Key Skills IT, Basic Skills (Numeracy and Literacy), Initial Text Processing, Basic IT Skills to include (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Method of Assessment Students will be assessed via external examinations, assignments and/or a portfolio of work depending on the modules they have chosen to study. Course Length Two years Time of Delivery Daytime Campus Pibwrlwyd Campus Bilingual Provision The majority of this course can be studied bilingually Entry Requirements There are no specific entry requirements.
