Course Level: Level 3 Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English, or equivalent. Course Description: This course provides an opportunity to gain a qualification in dental technology that enables the individual to register with the General Dental Council as a Dental Technician. The National Diploma in Dental Technology is designed to: ? Encourage dental technicians to gain a recognised qualification ? Facilitate career progression ? Enable candidates to apply the principles of dental technology and become more effective in their work ? Recognise levels of professional practice in the dental laboratory ? Support new candidates enrolled on the National Award ? Provide opportunities for progression to the Foundation Degree programme Course Content: Subject areas covered and appropriate units.
