Introduction Have you always had an interest in Musical Theatre or enjoyed singing, dancing and acting? Do you want to develop your skills and experience further? Are you interested in furthering your qualification profile with a view to progressing to a higher level course of study? If so, the BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in Musical Theatre is the course for you! This course is a practical, performance-related course that will give you an insight into the career of a Musical Theatre performer. Study will combine both practical and theoretical subjects helping you to develop your techniques in three areas, singing, dancing and acting (Triple Threat!) as well as your knowledge of Musical Theatre from the perspective of a director/choreographer, an audience member, a producer and performer. Further Opportunities Students will undertake an enhanced study programme that will support their progression and develop employability. This will include participation in visiting workshops, theatre visits and talks by professionals from within the industry. In addition they will receive a series of theoretical support sessions that will improve their chances of success and support progression to further study.
