Course Description

Tourism is the world’s biggest employer. Rapidly expanding industries like travel and tourism offer excellent career opportunities to those who show dedication and commitment. This course seeks to: - Equip students with knowledge and experience of the industry together with the skills and attributes required by employers. - Focus on the dynamic nature of the travel and tourism industry - Offer opportunities for the development and application of a range of academic skills - Prepare students for employment into the industry The course is divided into three terms, each term comprising of 12 weeks, where students will study a variety of travel and tourism subjects, such as; The UK Travel and Tourism Sector, Customer Service in Travel & Tourism, Planning your own Trip and Employability Skills. Students will also study Functional Skills in maths and English at an appropriate level. Additionally, students will also study for a C&G Level 1 Certificate in Worldwide Travel.
