Course Content

In the first year you may discover:

  • Fundamental principles of marketing;
  • Marketing in a business context;
  • Spanish language (oral, aural, translation and writing); 
  • Management;
  • Finance;
  • European Culture and Politics; 
  • Spanish literature and film;
  • Tourism.

In the second year you may explore:

  • The production of campaigns;
  • Strategic marketing;
  • Consumer behaviour;
  • Management research methods;
  • Spanish language (aural, writing, oral and translation); 
  • Branding;
  • Business to Business marketing;
  • Customer relationship management;
  • Human resource management.

In the third year you may study,  you will embark on your year abroad, which can be sent studying in one of partnered Spanish universities, or embark on a year undertaking a work placement in a Spanish speaking country. Other opportunities include the British Council English Language Assistantship Programme, where you will assist in the English Language development within a primary or secondary school in Spain or a Spanish speaking country. 

In your final year you may: 

  • Marketing Communications;
  • The nature and importance of international marketing and global brand awareness;
  • Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of marketing situations;
  • Spanish language (oral, aural and writing); 
  • TESOL; 
  • Choose from a range of modules ranging from Literature, Film, Culture, Business; 
  • Formulation of effective marketing plans;
  • And undertake a compulsory independent research project.

UCAS Tariff 104 - 120

A Levels BBB-BCC to include B in Spanish (unless to be studied as a beginner)

GCSE requirements (minimum grade C/4):
English or Welsh

BTEC National Diploma:
DDM-DMM to include B in A level Spanish (unless to be studied as a beginner)

International Baccalaureate:
30-28 with 5 points in Spanish at Higher Level

European Baccalaureate:
75%-65% overall with 7 in Spanish
