Course Description

This BSc in Agriculture with Animal Science offers you a solid grounding in agriculture with a strong specialism in animal science. During this four-year course, you will look at all aspects of the agricultural industry as well as developing a sound understanding of nutrition, reproductive physiology, animal health, animal breeding and emerging animal biotechnology. This degree programme includes a 9 month work placement in your third year during which you can apply your academic and vocational knowledge and gain valuable experience of agriculture and animal science in practice.

A Levels BBB-CCC with C in a relevant science subject

GCSE requirements (minimum grade C/4):
English or Welsh and Mathematics

BTEC National Diploma:
DDM-MMM with a specified subject

International Baccalaureate:
30-26 with 5 points in a relevant science at Higher Level

European Baccalaureate:
75%-65% overall with 7 in a relevant science

Assessment Methods

You will be assessed through essays, practical exercises, oral presentations and exams. You will also be required to complete additional assignments and work with others on particular tasks.
