BSc (Hons) Equine Studies (Physical Therapy) UCAS Code D334 Option: PHY Duration&Mode 3 years FT Typical Offer: BTEC National Diploma MPP OCR National Extended Diploma (18 Units) P2 Irish Leaving Certificate CCCC Scottish Highers 190 - 240 points International Baccalaureate 24 points Preferred Subjects Biology or other science to A2 level Postgraduate Qualifications Students on this course will be given the opportunity to progress to a relevant Masters programme in the Postgraduate School. Course Content This programme enables students to follow a course of study offering a range of practical skills relevant to the equine industry and allows students to select a range of practical modules which are equitation-based, stud-based or a combination of the two. The course offers the opportunity for students to learn about applied aspects of equine management, and the practical and electronic technologies currently in use in the equine industry. In addition, the Physical Therapy option in this programme allows students to study modules in Introduction to Physical Therapy, Equine Health Management, Biomechanics and Complementary Therapy which will give them a sound understanding of their chosen subject area and an in-depth knowledge of the latest advances in the field. Students will also follow a programme of study which develops their awareness of the professional and work skills required to work in the equine sector and enhances their own leaning and analytical abilities.
