Bricklaying Diploma Level 3 (ConstructionSkills) WHAT'S ON THE COURSE? A comprehensive study of practical and theoretical subjects. Mandatory Units Conform to General Workplace Safety Confirm Work Activities and Resources for the Work Develop and Maintain Good Working Relationships Confirm the Occupational Method of Work Erect Masonry Structures Set Out Masonry Structures Erect Thin Joint Masonry Structures Set Out Complex Masonry Structures Erect Complex Masonry Structures Optional Units (any one unit from the following) Erect Masonry Cladding Lay Domestic Drainage Plaster and Render Surfaces Maintain Slate and Tile Roofing Repair and Maintain Masonry Structures Please note that these units are under review by the awarding body and may alter in the future. Also required to complete the course is one written external Knowledge Test. WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE AND FEES? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? 1 Year. Thursday 9.00am-9.00pm. WHEN DOES IT START? Autumn 2010. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The tuition fee for this course is 1,428.00 (home students only). There is an assessment fee of 35.00. Additional costs: The learner is required to provide their own safety boots and safety goggles. T-shirt (6.00) and hooded sweatshirt (16.00). These items should be worn as part of student workwear.
