This session aims to equip health professionals and other workers who encounter bereavement in their work to provide appropriate care and support through being able to: ? Support people in anticipatory grief before a death ? Recognise common grief reactions ? Identify ways of supporting people who have been bereaved ? Have an overview of key theories in bereavement care and understand how these have evolved ? Identify key aspects of complicated bereavement reactions, including suicidal impulses ? Have an overview of how to support bereaved children ? Have a knowledge of local resources for bereavement support Time: 09.30 - 16.00
