Course Description

The BA (Hons) Acting programme of study is suitable for those determined to become professional actors working in today’s Theatre, Screen and Audio industries. Combining practical actor training with theoretical study and research methodologies, this vocational course aims to equip you to operate effectively in a highly competitive artistic industry.

In Year 3 you attend a mock audition panel with leading agents and casting directors, work with an influential casting director on your Showcase and have industry lectures, from keeping accounts to finding an agent, and you will also receive casting information.

  • 18 years old at the start of the course, although we positively welcome older students
  • Have 112 UCAS tariff points (NB – exceptional ability and/or considerable life/work experience could be taken into consideration; we would expect you to take an intensive preliminary course)
  • If English is not your first language you must be fluent in English (You may be asked for proof of this We need a level 6.5 in the IELTS (International English Language Test System).
