Course Description

The workshop is fully accredited by the CMA (Complementary Medical Association) and the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists ). Successful completion will lead to the award of an Ayurveda Pura Academy Certificate in Ayurvedic Foot Massage. Course Content: Introduction to principles of Ayurveda Explanation of the 3 Doshas or body types and their characteristics Determining ones Dosha type Full sequence of traditional Ayurvedic foot massage Important Marma points on the feet and how they relate to different organs and systems of the body How to work on these Marma points to alleviate various symptoms Adapting massage techniques and choosing Ayurvedic oils to suit an individual's constitution or Dosha Opportunities: Offer Ayurvedic foot massage treatments Integrate these techniques within your existing style of massage or reflexology technique Utilise these techniques on yourself Beauticians can integrate this massage technique into their pedicure sessions Effectively treat clients suffering from from a variety of ailments (eg sleep disorders, stress and varicose veins)
