Award in Supervising Food Safety What you will study This qualification covers the following topics: Legislation Supervisory management Temperature control Cleaning Contamination control Applying and monitoring good hygiene practices Implementing good food safety procedures Contributing to the safety training of others Who the course is for Managers and supervisors in medium and large manufacturing or catering busineses with a responsibility for food safety. How you will study This is an intensive course involving a variety of teaching methods including a wide selection of group activities and the use of video materials. There will also be some home study. Changes in legislation have placed greater onus and accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility. It is therefore vital they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively. How you will be assessed A multi-choice examination paper consisting of 60 questions. Time allowed is 2 hours. Qualification Title Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering (for Manufacturing for Retailing) Course Length 3 day course - 6 hours per day. Evenings over 10 weeks.
