Course Description

This new qualification is the stepping stone to your career in working with children and young people in a variety of play environments. If you are interested in working in after-school clubs and holiday play schemes, this is the qualification for you. It is a stand-alone qualification but also acts as a good introduction into playwork. This course forms part of the Certificate and Diploma in Playwork (QCF) and carries 12 credits towards the full qualification. This course is delivered online via the NEC Laser and you can study at your own pace. The interactive programme is easy to navigate, colourful and engaging and all completed work is recorded within your learner profile. Units Understand Playwork Principles - 4 credits Understand children and young people's self-directed play - 5 credits Understand how to safeguard the well-being of children and young poeople - 3 credits
