Description: An introduction to the basic principle component of standby and no-break installations and the essentials of safe working procedures for Authorised Person. Training Purpose To provide delegates with the practical and procedural aspects of safe working associated with electrical Standby Systems and give the necessary guidance to carry out these duties to meet the mandatory and statutory requirements. Who would Benefit Suitably experienced M&E personnel, who have been nominated for appointment as Authorised Person Electrical Standby Systems. Training Coverage Alternator/Diesel engine principle and protection Generator control circuits and flow diagrams Statutory Safe System of Work requirements MOD Safety Rules & Procedures contained within JSP 375 Vol. 3 Chapter 3 + 4 Static and Rotary no break systems (UPS) Management application and control of Documentation Standby Installations and equipment Practical exercises Training Information Delegates attending this Authorised Person course who are to be appointed under MOD Safety Rules, should be in possession of a completed and countersigned log book at the beginning of the course. The course has an external practical element delegates are advised to bring outdoor protective clothing. During the course delegates will be assessed in both written and Practical exercises.
