Course Description

AS Level Physics Physics has been at the heart of some of the most important technological advances in our society. It is a versatile subject and by combining it with Maths and other sciences, you will be able to explore a wide range of higher education courses, both technical and non-technical. What will I be doing? The course builds on the new GCSE Physics/Science courses and provides an excellent foundation in many interesting and exciting areas of the subject. In Physics at AS Level, unit 1: physics on the go unit 2: physics at work unit 3: exploring physics How will I be assessed? The course comprises a combination of exams and practical assessment. Overall, there are three units of assessment. To get a certificate for AS Level, you will need to have studied and been assessed on the three AS units. unit 1: physics on the go 40% of total mark unit 2: physics at work 40% of total mark unit 3: exploring physics 20% of total mark Where do I go from here? AS Level Physics will support your progress to A2 Level. Entry requirements Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, Maths and Double Science or Physics. Course Duration 1 Year
