This course is often used to generate an independently moderated safety competence standard within the workplace. Course overview Employers have a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace as well as safe systems and methods of work for all work activities. The course gives delegates a basic understanding of: Health and Safety Legislation Prevention of Accidents Risk Assessment First Aid at Work Personal Protective Equipment Workplace Safety Work Equipment Fire prevention Electricity Hazardous Substances Ergonomics and Workstation Design Manual Handling Noise Duration 1 day Certification An IOSH Working Safely certificate is awarded to all those delegates who attend the course and who successfully complete the written and practical assessments.
